Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Lithia Springs, GA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support safe, reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment and packaging systems.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated production equipment, including electrical controls, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime. Overtime and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 6 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting automated production equipment and manufacturing machinery.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting experience on manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with motor starters, relays, contactors, drives, motors, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to safely use electrical meters and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair motors, drives, bearings, shafts, chains, sprockets, belts, conveyors, and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot electrical control systems including motor starters, relays, contactors, motors, drives, and PLC controlled equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Use electrical meters and testing equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities including lubrication, inspections, filter changes, adjustments, and component replacement.
