Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Tech B to support a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility on 2nd shift. You will inspect, test, repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and perform preventative maintenance while documenting activities per CMMS.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical knowledge, and PLC exposure. Training on day shift during first weeks is required and adherence to safety standards is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have strong commitment to safety and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred.
• Willing to train on day shift for first 3 weeks.
• Proficient with electrical components and diagnostic instruments; PLC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and shut down equipment per safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain maintenance records using CMMS and coordinate with line mechanics.
• Work safely, keep a clean work environment, and follow all safety regulations.
