Job summary

Sotera Health is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician in Indiana to perform daily maintenance and preventative tasks on processing equipment.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical failures, coordinating parts and purchasing, and coordinating with operations and contractors to keep equipment running smoothly. Ideal candidates have a technical degree or electrician certification, 7 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with electrical diagrams and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 7 years of maintenance experience in a processing/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Technical degree or certificate (Qualified electrician) or equivalent experience.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and ladder diagrams.
• Knowledge of 480 volt 3 phase power and motor control troubleshooting.
• Operate welding equipment and cutting torch; isotope loading experience preferred.
• Fluent in English; able to lift up to 50 pounds; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine daily maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance on processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures; recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Identify materials; obtain pricing; issue purchase orders with supervisor approval.
• Interface with operations and contractors; manage work orders and safety programs.
• Lead on production floor and manage small projects in equipment enhancements.
