Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc, part of the Carbery Group, seeks a Sr. Maintenance Tech in Chicago to lead the Maintenance Team, assign work, coach staff, and ensure reliable equipment operations.

You will drive projects, oversee preventive maintenance, and collaborate with operations to minimize downtime at the Hamilton facility location. The role focuses on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, PLCs, and safety compliance, with a 11PM–7:30AM Sunday–Thursday shift and onsite reporting

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of previous experience in a maintenance mechanic position.
• Stationary Engineer license - Chicago specific requirement.
• Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Motors, Conveyors, and PLCs.
• Technical training certifications, preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Proven effective problem-solving skills - engaging internal and external customers as needed.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance Team through job assignments, follow-through and customer satisfaction.
• Develop, plan, and execute capital projects throughout the facility.
• Serve as SME with strong knowledge of plant operating systems and utilities processes.
• Cross-train with other technicians to broaden knowledge across the plant.
