Job summary

Staples in La Vergne, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 for the 2nd shift (12:00pm-8:30pm, Monday–Friday) to perform preventative and on-demand maintenance on electrical motors, conveyors, and related equipment in our Fulfillment Center.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot high- and low-voltage systems up to 480VAC, and work with hydraulic, pneumatic and control systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years related experience in maintenance.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permitted.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Overtime hours may be required based on business needs.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
• Lift/push/pull 70–100 pounds by hand.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Trade school background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and on-demand maintenance on motors, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Maintain and repair building systems, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, and painting as needed.
• Support and relay directions from supervisor to other technicians.
• Operate power material handling equipment (MHE) after certification.
• Apply safe work practices and uphold our safety culture.
• Assist Staples Supply Chain to keep Fulfillment Center running smoothly.
