Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day property maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems across our Dallas-area communities. You will lead a maintenance team, schedule tasks, train staff, and coordinate vendor work.

You will ensure safety, manage inventory, and respond to emergencies, including on-call requests. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge required.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks, including preparing vacant units and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and recommending staff for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds positions.
• Train service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take initiative to improve maintenance processes and methods.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for maintenance teams.
• Oversee vendor work and ensure safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available for on-call duty as required.
