Jobot is partnering with a global metals manufacturer in Riverdale, IA to hire a Maintenance Supervisor who will lead a skilled union maintenance team in a heavy industrial setting, maximizing equipment reliability, safety, and production performance. The role supervises electricians and mechanics, drives CI initiatives, and partners with operations and engineering to improve productivity and delivery.

A strong background in mechanical and electrical systems and a track record of safety and team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading maintenance teams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience working in manufacturing, heavy industrial, metals, paper, chemical, automotive, or similar environments.
• Ability to lead teams through planned and unplanned maintenance challenges.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise electricians and mechanics in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate and prioritize planned, preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues and guide teams toward effective solutions.
• Conduct safety meetings and job-specific safety reviews to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and rapid problem-solving to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
• Manage manpower, scheduling, vacation coverage, and daily work assignments within labor agreement guidelines.
• Foster a positive relationship with union employees while maintaining accountability and performance expectations.
• Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve productivity, quality, recovery, and delivery performance.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
