Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Maintenance Supervisor III for the El Paso State Supported Living Center. The role leads maintenance and construction staff, prioritizing life-safety code compliance and reliable operations, including HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma and supervisory experience; valid Texas driver’s license is required or must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is required.
• Experience in maintenance work; supervisory experience preferred.
• Must possess valid Texas driver’s license or obtain it within 90 days after hire date.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance and construction staff and assigns work based on life safety code priorities.
• Oversees preventive maintenance and daily work orders for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Grounds and Life Safety Systems.
• Monitors safety, performance, and compliance with NFPA standards and manufacturer recommendations.
