Job summary

Duke Energy in Kentucky seeks a Supt Maintenance to lead outage management, planning and resource coordination at a station. You will oversee engineering and technical staff, ensure adherence to the operating model, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to keep plants running safely.

The role requires a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, or 13 years with a high school diploma, plus strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND 5 years minimum required related work experience
• In lieu of degree and experience listed above, Highschool/GED AND 13 years of minimum required related work experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology
• In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective work management including planning, scheduling and execution of operations and maintenance activities within a station or region.
• Ensures that all work at the station follows the operating model processes.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships between departments and internal customers
• Counsels, trains, evaluates, develops, guides and assists assigned personnel relative to job performance and duties
• Provide leadership and direction in continuous improvement initiatives related to the development and implementation of best practices, work process improvement, enhancement of maintenance procedures and outage maintenance processes.
• Responsible for overall outage management
• Acts as a liaison with business, charitable and political leaders, foundations, organizations and other external stakeholders of the station and corporation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external suppliers and alliance partners.
• Meet station environmental, health and safety objectives.
