Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation in Kentucky is seeking a Superintendent Maintenance to lead planning, scheduling and execution of station operations and maintenance. You will oversee resource allocation, outage support with Generation Maintenance Services, and drive continuous improvement of the operating model.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Travel and on-site work at a generating station are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years related experience.
• In lieu of degree, 13 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective work management including planning, scheduling and execution of operations and maintenance activities within a station or region.
• Ensures that all work at the station follows the operating model processes.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships between departments and internal customers
• Counsels, trains, evaluates, develops, guides and assists assigned personnel relative to job performance and duties
• Provide leadership and direction in continuous improvement initiatives related to the development and implementation of best practices, work process improvement, enhancement of maintenance procedures and outage maintenance processes.
• Responsible for overall outage management
• Acts as a liaison with business, charitable and political leaders, foundations, organizations and other external stakeholders of the station and corporation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external suppliers and alliance partners.
• Meet station environmental, health and safety objectives.
