Job summary

Duke Energy seeks an experienced Outage Sponsor/Technical Support Specialist to lead supplemental workforce coordination in the nuclear maintenance area. The role combines budgeting, technical direction, and field oversight to ensure safe, timely issue resolution during outages.

Responsibilities include preparing annual budgets, coordinating with engineering, NOS, NRC, INPO and EPRI, and guiding complex activities from planning through execution.

Qualifications

• High School/GED degree
• 8 years related work experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering among qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Operating Nuclear Station Environment
• 8 years of work-related experience in technical/Maintenance or Engineering

Responsibilities

• Serve as outage sponsor and single point of contact for supplemental workforce.
• Provide technical direction, budget formulation and material cost estimates.
• Coordinate with engineering, NOS, NRC, INPO, and EPRI for regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvements and lead project management across maintenance programs.
