Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is hiring a Maintenance Specialist IV for San Antonio State Hospital. This role entails senior-level restoration, renovation, and building maintenance work across multiple trades, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or equipment/vehicle repair work.
• Knowledge of building systems and related trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate staff on repairs and projects.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly advanced (senior level) restoration, renovation, building maintenance and construction work.
• Maintains and repairs building systems and utility equipment.
• Documents work orders, projects and material requisitions; participates in disaster response and COOP as needed.
• Acts as a lead worker on construction and maintenance projects.
