Job summary

Marquette Bank in Orland Park, IL, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Service Worker to inspect, maintain, and repair interior and exterior structures and equipment. You will collaborate with Facilities Management and vendors to complete work orders and support project management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate various maintenance equipment such as power tools, snow blowers, and power washer.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, telephone, written, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Self‑starter and self‑motivator with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned branch locations.
  • Monitor performance of janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, and other scheduled vendors and report any issues to Facilities Management.
  • Inspect interior and exterior lighting, signage, roofing, ceiling tiles, plumbing, landscaping, irrigation, exterior grounds/building structure, heating systems, electrical systems, and interior structure to ensure safe and acceptable conditions and report any concerns or needed repairs to Facilities Management.
  • Test and monitor irrigation systems.
  • Change HVAC filters and clean condenser coils as needed.
  • Paint and repair drywall as needed.
  • change lighting ballasts, repair etc.

Position Summary The Senior Maintenance Service Worker is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing interior and exterior structures, fixtures, and equipment. This position collaborates with Facilities Management, branch personnel, and vendors to complete work orders and assist with project management.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned branch locations.
  • Monitor performance of janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, and other scheduled vendors and report any issues to Facilities Management.
  • Recommend vendor involvement when required.
  • Inspect interior and exterior lighting, signage, roofing, ceiling tiles, plumbing, landscaping, irrigation, exterior grounds/building structure, heating systems, electrical systems, and interior structure to ensure safe and acceptable conditions and report any concerns or needed repairs to Facilities Management.
  • Order internal lighting equipment, ceiling tiles, and required supplies from vendors or hardware stores and track and monitor orders.
  • Complete work orders within the designated timeframe and communicate upon completion.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management to increase efficiency and response time while reducing costs and enhancing service.
  • Inspect roof and clean roof drains and gutters.
  • Test and monitor irrigation systems.
  • Change lighting ballasts, repair and replace receptacles and light switches, including exit and emergency lighting. Troubleshoot electrical shorts.
  • Repair scratched wood when necessary.
  • Paint and repair drywall as needed.
  • Remove and replace ceiling tiles and grid systems.
  • Change HVAC filters and clean condenser coils as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair sink faucets and traps.
  • Troubleshoot and clear minor clogged drains and backed-up toilets.
  • Order and obtain keys for building doors, filing cabinets, drawers, etc.
  • During winter, keep entrances and sidewalks clear using a shovel or snow blower and salt as needed.
  • Utilize and maintain tools and related equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and building supplies for loss prevention.
  • Schedule necessary maintenance on company vehicle.
  • Participate in maintenance meetings to share information and operating procedures.
  • May be required to work outside regular business hours as needed for emergencies, projects, or other reasons related to this role. All time worked will be recorded and compensated in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws.
  • Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations, adhering to the Bank’s internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
  • Perform job‑related responsibilities that support departmental and organizational goals, consistent with the scope and purpose of the position.
