Marquette Savings Bank in Waterford, PA is seeking a Senior Universal Banker to deliver exceptional customer service, manage relationships, and support deposit and lending needs. The role involves originating mortgage loans, assisting customers through the lending process, and handling teller transactions as needed.
Qualified candidates will have at least a high school diploma, with 2+ years in banking or financial services and knowledge of deposit accounts, lending regulations, and compliance.
The Senior Universal Banker is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by serving as a trusted financial resource for current and prospective customers. This role combines relationship management, retail lending, account opening, customer service, and transactional banking responsibilities to support branch growth and deepen customer relationships with the goal of positioning MSB as their primary financial institution.
The Senior Universal Banker proactively identifies customer financial needs and recommends appropriate deposit, digital banking, and lending solutions. This position is responsible for originating, processing, and supporting residential mortgage loan applications while ensuring compliance with all applicable lending regulations and Bank policies. The Senior Universal Banker partners with branch and lending staff to achieve production goals, expand customer relationships, and contribute to overall branch performance.
In addition, this role performs teller transactions as needed, supports branch sales initiatives, and serves as a knowledgeable resource regarding Bank products, services, lending requirements, and regulatory compliance.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of banking, teller, customer service, sales, or financial services experience required.
Experience opening and servicing consumer deposit accounts required.
Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate financial products and services.
Working knowledge of banking regulations, lending compliance requirements, and account-opening procedures.
Ability to obtain and maintain any licensing or registration required for loan origination activities.
The employee must demonstrate thorough knowledge of the Bank's products and services, including deposit and lending solutions. The ability to proactively identify customer needs, recommend appropriate financial solutions, and successfully guide customers through the lending process is essential. Strong consultative sales skills and the ability to meet relationship growth, referral, and lending production goals are required.
The employee must possess strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to engage in all types of customer interactions.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with employees and customers of the organization.
The employee must have the ability to use standard office equipment.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to handle both positive and negative correspondence regarding accounts.
