Job summary

City of Omaha is seeking a skilled trades worker to perform rough-in and finish carpentry, drywall, and repairs in commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. Responsibilities include installing doors, stairs, ramps, and related fixtures, with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications include three years operating building-trade tools, knowledge of safety practices, and a valid driver’s license as specified. Excellent teamwork and dependable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience operating tools and equipment.
• Requires valid driver’s license: class O or class B with N endorsement and no air brake restriction.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds constantly.

Responsibilities

• Performs rough-in and finish carpentry, drywall, ramps, floors.
• Repairs rotted subfloors and joists.
• Installs doors, stairs, windows, locks and related hardware.
• Maintains regular attendance and performs related duties as assigned.
