Job summary

Motive is transforming field service with the Maintenance Platform. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be a specialist overlay, not tied to a single account, delivering demos, trials, and technical credibility to win deals.

You\'ll partner across Sales, Product, Trial Success and Marketing to map maintenance workflows to outcomes and shape go-to-market strategies. You will travel for strategic opportunities, design POCs, and influence buying decisions while building strong relationships

Qualifications

5+ years in solutions engineering or pre-sales in a customer-facing role.
Deep expertise in maintenance operations and asset management (CMMS/EAM).
Proven success supporting complex, multi-stakeholder B2B SaaS sales cycles.
Deep knowledge of value-based selling frameworks and the ability to influence both technicians and executives.
Hands-on experience designing trials, POCs, and evaluation strategies.

Responsibilities

Shape deal strategy with Account Executives and provide tailored demos wherever maintenance is central to the evaluation.
Tie maintenance workflows to measurable outcomes, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to technicians and executives alike.
Lead proof of concepts and trials that translate complex maintenance challenges into clear, compelling, outcome-driven solutions.
Own the technical and domain narrative for the Maintenance Platform, developing deep expertise in maintenance operations and the competitive landscape.
Establish yourself as the product authority for this platform, mastering today's capabilities while shaping conversations around future roadmap.
Serve as the real-time feedback loop between the field and Product, translating customer pain, gaps, and emerging use cases into roadmap input.
Build the go-to-market motion for this product area: trial strategy, demo narratives, objection handling, and repeatable sales plays.
Enable the broader field org, ensuring any SE can confidently position and sell the platform.
Help product teams prioritize the roadmap based on field insight, and play a role in standing up go-to-market motions for this and future new product lines.
