Job summary

Ardent Mills in Ayer, MA is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to troubleshoot, fix, and maintain equipment while supporting preventive maintenance at the plant. You will lead maintenance projects and train other technicians, delivering results with reliability, integrity and safety in focus.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong communication, and proficiency with CMMS and PLCs/VFDs.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use computer applications for documentation.
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to learn new skills and teach others.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP.
• Familiarity with maintenance processes, CMMS, root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks per work orders assigned.
• Understand and practice safe work habits; speak up when unsafe.
• Continue to learn and grow in maintenance expertise.
• Train other Maintenance and Reliability Technicians.
• Provide input on job plans, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting follow-ups.
• Use CMMS to review, update, and document work orders.
