Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to operate, repair, and maintain a range of machinery including engines, motors, conveyors, and hydraulics on rolling stock and facility systems. The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and hands-on problem solving.

You will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and may supervise a small team or shift. Strong diesel, HVAC, plumbing or pipefitting experience is preferred along with an HS diploma or higher.

Qualifications

• Six years’ experience as a mechanic with rolling stock repair and service, diesel engine maintenance, HVAC, plumbing or pipefitting.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required; additional trade school degree preferred.
• I CS 100 & 200 certifications and trade licenses are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Performs maintenance on rolling stock equipment and other machinery.
• Locates problems by observing equipment and using testing instruments.
• Lubricates, cleans, and inspects parts; uses hand and power tools safely.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains rolling stock equipment.
• May supervise a small team or shift and initiate purchase orders for parts.
