Job summary

Agency for Persons with Disabilities in Sunland seeks a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to perform full plumbing maintenance, installation, and repairs on a daily basis. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, equipment operation, and coordinating with supervisors to preserve facility integrity.

The role requires experience in building trades and mechanical repair, with duties spanning welding, soldering, and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

Experience in maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, or electrical or mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures in maintenance and repair work.
Ability to read blueprints; install and repair electric motors, generators and other mechanical equipment.
Ability to take accurate measurements; follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform full plumbing program including installation, repair or replacement of plumbing, fixtures and related components.
Maintain and operate a preventative maintenance program for plumbing-related equipment daily.
Inspect and maintain Sunland buildings: windows, roofs, gutters, walls, mechanical rooms; perform repairs as needed.
Keep materials on hand to maintain Sunland's plumbing daily.
Operate a backhoe and related equipment to keep Sunland functioning daily.
Perform welding and soldering as needed.
Work shift hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Maintain tool control and tool control logs; process work orders.
Complete all assigned staff training deemed mandatory.
