Job summary

MeriCal is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Ogden, UT to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot packaging equipment used in gummies, probiotics, tablets, and powders. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, and repairing complex systems to maximize uptime across the facility.

You will work with CMMS, interpret schematics, and perform welds (MIG/TIG). The team values mentorship and collaboration with production and other engineers to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–7 years in a mechanical role, with packaging equipment knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and hazardous-chemicals information in English.
• Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
• Basic understanding of reading pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot packaging equipment to support production.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs on industrial machinery.
• Use CMMS and shop tools (Milling, grinders, air tools, hydraulics) to service equipment.
• Install and set up new machines or components and verify operation before production use.
• Mentor junior mechanics and coordinate with production for maintenance schedules.
