Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska is seeking a Factory Technician to repair, adjust, and maintain seafood processing machinery and related equipment in a shore plant, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing problems with precision tools, and making adjustments to meet production goals while keeping a safe, clean workplace. A High School diploma or GED is required, with eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HAZWOPER certified or ability to get certified in 1 year.
• 2 years’ experience in applicable position or similar experience or applicable accredited technical training.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and production machines as directed.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring tools.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with calipers and micrometers.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
