Job summary

The State of Maryland, MDH SETT facility in Hagerstown, seeks an experienced maintenance professional to perform advanced maintenance tasks across the campus. The role involves repairing roadways and walks, conducting preventative maintenance, and leading a team of maintenance and janitorial staff.

Ideal candidates will have substantial maintenance trades experience, particularly in electrical, plumbing, steam fitting, refrigeration, or air conditioning, and a track record of hands-on repair

Qualifications

• Education: Eighth grade.
• Experience: Four years of experience in any combination of the maintenance trades; three years in electricity, plumbing, steam fitting, refrigeration or air conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks such as simple construction, repairs to roadways and walks, and routine preventative maintenance.
• Engage in heavy janitorial and general services work.
• Provide guidance and supervision to a team of unskilled or semi-skilled employees as needed.
