Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our Savannah/Pooler, GA site.

You will repair, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical components of engines, motors, pumps, and control systems, with a need to work nights, weekends, or holidays for emergencies. The role requires an associate degree or 8+ years of relevant experience, strong reading and math skills, and the ability to interpret technical docs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Proficient in basic math including fractions and percentages.
• Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills.
• Basic computer skills: email, word processing, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Obtain and maintain safety/environmental certifications.
• Independently manage departmental projects within budget and schedule constraints.

• Design, install, and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair advanced systems such as PLCs, HMIs, motion controls, drives.
• Develop and implement control systems, calibration procedures, and configuration settings.
• Support mechanical diagnostics and installations, including precision components.
• Assist with specialized testing (e.g., ball bar tests).
• Follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
