Eagle's Trace by Erickson Senior Living in West Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair apartments and common areas. You will train staff, supervise the condition of your neighborhood, and act as a technical resource to ensure residents enjoy a comfortable and safe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in residential apartment maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• EPA certification to handle refrigerants is required.
• Ability to work on-call overtime as needed.

Location: Eagle's Trace by Erickson Senior Living Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, where you'll efficiently troubleshoot and repair apartments and public areas. You will train staff on maintenance techniques, oversee the condition of your assigned neighborhood, and serve as a technical resource for the team, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

Compensation: Starting at $28.50, based on experience

How you will make an impact

• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment as assigned
• Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer’s recommendation
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
• Serve as the lead mechanic in assigned area(s) and will be responsible for the overall condition of the neighborhood(s)

What you will need

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential apartment complex, construction, or commercial building maintenance
• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
• Should have a working knowledge of HVAC
• Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and “on-call” overtime as necessary
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must possess current EPA certification to handle refrigerants. Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable. These regulations take precedence over the requirements outlined in the job description.
