Bodycote plc is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the mechanical maintenance department at our Berlin and South Windsor, CT locations. The role oversees maintenance strategies, capital projects, and vendor coordination to ensure reliability of thermal processing equipment.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or related discipline.
• Five years of supervisory experience.
• Ten years cumulative maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Deep and thorough knowledge of industrial manufacturing systems and heavy-duty piping and plumbing.
• Experience with cooling water systems and treatment of water.
• Experience with cryogenics and high pressure gas systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• ITAR compliance requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance and installation of equipment used in thermal processing applications.
• Oversees health, safety and environmental performance of department and employees.
• Resolves chronic or acute equipment issues and manages contract personnel for specialized work.
• Directs scheduling of daily and preventive maintenance activities with operations scheduling.
• Uses CMMS for maintenance work orders and asset information management.
• Creates/revises engineering drawings for plant equipment and coordinates with vendors for parts.
• Manages CapEx projects and capital asset requests with budgeting oversight.
• Maintains facility and department budgets and procurement processes.
