Job summary

Origin Mining Company in Kingman, Arizona seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance across mobile equipment, fixed plant, and electrical/instrumentation systems. You will ensure safe execution, maximize equipment availability, and plan maintenance activities during the concentrator restart.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and at least 10 years in mining maintenance leadership, with strong budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in mining or heavy industrial operations, including leadership of maintenance teams.
• Experience with both mobile mining equipment and fixed processing plant maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance planning, and reliability practices.
• Ability to interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics and use them to guide troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience managing budgets, contractors, and equipment rebuilds.
• Clear communication, sound judgment under pressure, and a demonstrated commitment to safe work.
• Experience supporting a copper concentrator, plant commissioning or restart, and electrical and instrumentation maintenance in a mine setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and maintenance planning personnel.
• Set maintenance priorities with mine and processing operations, balancing production needs, equipment condition, and safety risks.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for mobile equipment, crushing and grinding circuits, flotation equipment, SX/EW facilities, and supporting infrastructure.
• Build effective planning and scheduling practices, including work orders, shutdown plans, parts readiness, and backlog management.
• Track equipment availability, reliability, maintenance costs, and recurring failures; lead root cause investigations and implement lasting corrective actions.
• Support installation, equipment handover, commissioning, and startup of the restarted concentrator.
• Develop maintenance budgets, staffing plans, contractor scopes, and critical spare parts strategies.
• Manage vendors and repair contractors, including rebuild quality, schedules, and performance.
• Ensure maintenance work follows site safety procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations. Lead incident reviews and follow through on corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and technical teams to improve equipment performance and establish practical, cost effective maintenance standards.
