Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a skilled facilities team in the Los Angeles area, overseeing preventative maintenance and ensuring apartments are ready for residents. The role demands extensive HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair experience, plus supervisory responsibilities and a strong safety ethic.

You will manage vendor relationships, capital projects, on-call coverage, and ensure compliance with building codes while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in facilities or residential building maintenance.
• Supervisory experience with hiring, developing and retaining teams.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Advanced HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair skills.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Experience with central plant, boilers and chillers.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with higher-level building systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto's standards and culture.
• Hire, develop, and train technicians and community care associates.
• Ensure timely follow up on apartment service tickets.
• Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliances.
• Manage make-ready and turnover to lease apartments.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to preserve property value.
• Maintain building cleanliness, grounds, and safety; snow removal.
• Oversee vendor relationships and budget-conscious projects.
• Coordinate 24/7 emergency coverage and on-call rotation.
• Ensure annual building systems inspections comply with codes.
• Lead capital improvements and special projects.
