Dufry AG at John F. Kennedy Airport Distribution Center seeks a Maintenance Manager III to oversee maintenance staff and facility operations in a high-volume setting.

You will ensure utility systems remain operational, coordinate repairs, and manage capital projects with a focus on safety and compliance. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and vendor management skills, with expertise in HVAC, electrical, and building systems.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of formal post-high school education in building trades, including Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Small Appliance Repair certification.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience in high-volume and/or multi-unit operations; maintenance exp. in Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations preferred.
• OSHA-10 Certification for Construction and General Industries; strong knowledge of HVAC and building infrastructures; experience with restaurant equipment and/or refrigeration preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents; strong organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises daily maintenance dept activities, assigns work, schedules shifts, and manages team performance across all shifts.
• Develops and monitors preventative maintenance programs for Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and appliances; conducts inspections for compliance.
• Coordinates repair and installation of equipment; acts as primary contact for new construction, renovation, and capital projects at the location.
• Manages vendor relationships including sourcing, scheduling, overseeing third-party maintenance; reviews work quality and invoices.
• Assists in developing the maintenance department budget; tracks labor, parts, and capital spend; seeks cost reductions while upholding standards.
