Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; or 5 years of education/experience substitution.
• Minimum three years progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Five+ years’ experience in food industry or protein industry strongly preferred.
• Minimum three years managing a large team across multiple shifts.
• Knowledge of food processing systems, as well as SPC and CAD.
• Understanding regulatory requirements governing the food industry and support for utilities (refrigeration/boilers/HVAC/PLC).
• Strong communication and customer focus with timely, professional interactions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
• Strong customer-centric attitude, high energy, and sense of urgency.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage a large maintenance team over multiple shifts through subordinate supervisors.
• Establish and maintain the preventative maintenance program for optimum and safe condition.
• Determine work order priority and schedule repairs, maintenance and installation to minimize disruption.
• Supervise maintenance department personnel in day-to-day operation to minimize downtime and costs.
• Manage the department budget within approved limits and identify cost-saving methods.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities with operating teams.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Engineering, Product Development and Quality Assurance on issues and capital projects.
• Establish and enforce SOPs to regulate maintenance within the processing plant.
• Mentor, coach and train/cross-train employees and provide feedback.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly.
• Follow and promote safety initiatives to maintain a zero-accident culture.
• Set expectations to support safety and company standards and provide direction to employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
