Job description

Summary : The Senior Maintenance Manager is accountable for driving the day-to-day maintenance operations across facilities and production assets. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize asset reliability, enforce compliance, and deliver cost-effective, preventive maintenance strategies that underpin uninterrupted production.

Responsibilities :

  • Operational Leadership : Direct and develop a high-performing maintenance team, instilling accountability for safety, quality, and uptime.
  • Preventive Maintenance Execution : Implement and refine preventive and corrective maintenance plans within the CMMS; monitor KPI dashboards (OEE, MTTR, PM compliance).
  • Resource Coordination : Allocate internal and external resources (staff, contractors, vendors) to meet dynamic production schedules without compromising safety or quality.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Enforce adherence to OSHA, NFPA, local building codes, and site-specific safety protocols; lead root-cause analyses for incidents.
  • Budget Oversight : Manage the maintenance budget, driving continuous cost-containment and lifecycle-cost analysis for critical assets.
  • Continuous Improvement : Champion TPM / Lean reliability initiatives, identifying and implementing equipment upgrades, process optimizations, and energy-savings projects.
  • Inventory & Spare-Parts Management : Oversee parts stocking strategies, leveraging vendor partnerships to ensure critical spares availability with minimal carrying costs.
  • Reporting & Analytics : Prepare and present maintenance performance metrics and CAPEX / OPEX forecasts to senior leadership.
  • Emergency Response : Lead rapid-response teams during equipment failures or facility emergencies to restore operations with minimal downtime.
  • Talent Development : Coach and mentor maintenance staff on technical competencies, safety behaviors, and leadership fundamentals.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • Preferred : Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt, TPM Certification, CMRP.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years in maintenance leadership roles within manufacturing or heavy-industrial environments.
  • Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar equipment portfolios.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and automation troubleshooting.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated change-management experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Office and plant-floor environment; exposure to noise, dust, temperature variation, and standard manufacturing hazards.

On-call availability for emergency support; occasional extended hours based on operational needs.

Physical activities include walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 35 lbs, and PPE usage.
