Job summary

Roundhouse is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Second + Second Apartments in Minneapolis, MN. You’ll perform hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and pool systems to keep the property in great shape for residents.

You’ll manage make-ready schedules, respond to work orders, oversee safety inspections, and maintain records. The role includes benefits like medical, 401(k) match, and employee housing discount.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of property maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, CPO, and carpentry systems.
• Strong communication skills and a real customer-service mindset.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk long periods, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool/spa systems.
• Respond quickly to work orders and ensure high-quality finishes.
• Walk the property to catch issues early and comply with safety codes.
• Keep grounds, exteriors, and common areas clean and sharp.
• Oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections, resolving code issues fast.
• Manage make-ready schedules and unit turns with inspections.
• Own vendor relationships, collect bids, and support CapEx planning.
• Monitor budgets, approve purchases, and manage inventory.
• Maintain records for work orders, PMs, inspections, and training.
• Collaborate with managers on priorities and report on property conditions.
