Siegel Select Birmingham, part of The Siegel Group, is seeking a Maintenance Level 1 to perform daily unit maintenance, handle work orders, and conduct monthly preventive tasks under the supervision of the Property Manager.

The role requires hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, plus two years of supervisory experience. Candidates must own their maintenance tools and be flexible for nights and weekends in a fast-paced apartment setting.

Qualifikationen

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical expertise required.
• 5+ years as maintenance engineer.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Own maintenance tools and safe work practices.

Aufgaben

• Turn and prepare units for occupancy and complete work orders promptly.
• Perform routine monthly preventative maintenance on all units.
• Supervise and train maintenance assistants; improve turnover times.
• Coordinate with the property manager to ensure timely vendor performance.
• Verify room readiness and availability for rental.
• Schedule and perform exterior and interior unit maintenance as needed.
• Respond to tenant emergencies during on-call shifts.
• Keep maintenance shop and work areas OSHA compliant.
• Maintain tools and equipment for daily tasks.
• Know and apply lock out/tag out procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
