Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead the Maintenance department at its Acorn facility. You will oversee a team, drive preventive maintenance programs, and partner with operations to maximize plant reliability and safety.

The role emphasizes managing budgets, enforcing SOPs, and maintaining a zero-accident culture while supporting career development and cross-training across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of progressive maintenance supervision experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Five+ years in food or protein industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs for safe, optimal machinery.
• Schedule repairs and installations to minimize disruption to operations.
• Supervise maintenance staff across shifts to optimize uptime and costs.
• Manage department budget within approved limits and seek cost efficiencies.
• Ensure SOPs are followed and safety initiatives promote a zero-accident culture.
• Mentor and coach staff; administer performance feedback and development plans.
