Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a Maintenance Lead to direct the maintenance team at the Kindig Lane facility. This hands-on leadership role requires solid mechanical know-how, a proactive mindset, and the ability to guide a team to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of bagger machines and industrial equipment.
• Proficient with PLC-controlled systems and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance team, prioritizing work orders and ensuring efficient, accurate task completion.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and keep equipment running smoothly.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment including baggers, motors, drives, fryers, and packaging systems.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies to support maintenance tasks.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with GMP, OSHA, EPA and Food Safety standards while promoting safety.
• Document preventive maintenance, repairs, and work orders in the EAM system for audits.
• Lead 5S initiatives to maintain an organized, safe, and productive work environment.
• Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes and drive production improvements.
