Job summary
Whirlpool Corporation in Ottawa, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Journeyman on 2nd shift to diagnose and repair complex manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines and robot automation. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, data-driven PdM, and coordination with engineering and production.
You will lead apprentices, provide technical direction, and support Kaizen-driven continuous improvement within a high‑safety environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
- Completion of a four-year apprenticeship/technical program or Journeyman Card required.
- Or minimum of five years multi-craft industrial maintenance experience.
Responsibilities
- Advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS PMs and work orders.
- Lead apprentices and coordinate repairs with Production and Engineering.
- Fabricate, modify and repair tooling, dies, fixtures, and machine shop components.
- Operate and service mobile equipment and maintain safety documentation.
