Job summary

PPG is seeking a Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager (Multiple Plants) to provide strategic and technical leadership across maintenance, process controls, and project engineering. You will partner with Operations, Quality, EHS, and Corporate Engineering to improve asset reliability, safety, and uptime while driving capital project execution.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance and project teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing automation and process control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in engineering, maintenance, or project management in manufacturing.
• 5+ years leading teams or complex technical functions.
• Experience with maintenance systems, automation controls, and capital projects.
• Expertise in driving reliability improvements and system uptime.
• Certifications such as PE, PMP, CMRP, Six Sigma/Lean are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance organization for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure uptime meets production goals through planning and resource allocation.
• Oversee work orders, PM optimization, spare parts, and contractor management.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements for facilities and safety.
• Develop process controls team supporting automation, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and data collection.
• Drive standardization, upgrades, cybersecurity, and automation improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex controls issues and lead root-cause analysis.
• Oversee project engineering for capital projects, budgets, timelines, and communication.
• Ensure projects meet standards and safety/regulatory requirements.
• Lead technical reviews, contractor coordination, and commissioning.
