Job summary

PPG is seeking an experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead the site's Process Engineering function, drive process safety, product quality, and asset performance, and guide capital projects from concept to startup. You will collaborate with EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial teams to support strategic growth and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering required.
• Advanced degree preferred (MS or MBA).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing, process engineering, or operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience in process optimization, process safety, manufacturing support, and capital project execution.
• Experience in batch and chemical manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting automotive industry customers and compliance with IATF 16949 and CSR.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
• Experience with new product commercialization, process validation, and product industrialization.

Responsibilities

• Champion Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and risk reduction plans.
• Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), MOC, and process risk assessments.
• Direct improvements in safety, quality, reliability, capacity, and costs.
• Guide capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
• Lead a team of Process Engineers and technical professionals.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial teams to achieve goals.
• Be the technical representative during customer audits, regulatory inspections, and corporate reviews.
• Support scale-up and industrialization of new products and formulations.
