Advansix is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to work in the field with production and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable operation of the plant in Hopewell, Virginia. Ideal candidates bring a mechanical engineering background, 3–5 years in chemical/petrochemical maintenance, and Six Sigma Green Belt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in chemical/petrochemical plant maintenance and/or reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze failed equipment to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
• Review repairs and modifications to rotating equipment; advise on PM activities.
• Establish and maintain an equipment lubrication program.
• Develop maintenance job plans for repair activities and update documentation.
• Interface with equipment manufacturers, specialists, and consultants.
• Draft maintenance documentation and improvement reports for plant equipment.
