Job summary

Nugget-Casino-Resort in Sparks, NV seeks an experienced maintenance professional able to troubleshoot, repair, and lead multi-discipline tasks across the property. You will respond to emergencies, manage preventative programs, and maintain high safety and guest-service standards.

Minimum 5 years of commercial maintenance experience, CPO and EPA certifications, and Nevada journeyman credentials are required. The role demands strong communication and a proactive, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' commercial maintenance experience.
• Two Nevada State or nationally recognized journeyman certifications.
• CPO and EPA certification required.
• Knowledge of Building Management System (BMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and respond to the work order system, document work performed as necessary.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems on the property.
• Formulate, initiate, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Respond and take appropriate action in the event of an emergency or critical incident, i.e., system failures, power outages and other emergencies.
• Monitor performance of equipment checking for hazards, make appropriate adjustments and/or replacements as required.
• Research parts and materials making recommendations for replacement of original or after-market parts and materials.
• Perform and document annual inspections on equipment as assigned.
• Must be able to diagnose and repair complex equipment and components.
• Knowledge of commercial emergency and critical power distribution systems.
• Serves as an emergency response team member during critical crises.
• Maintains pool facilities, adjusts, and documents pool chemicals as required.
• Address guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
• Using Nugget's recognition system, recognize team members who are going 'above and beyond' as appropriate.
• Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
• Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
• Regular predictable attendance is required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
