Job summary

ADM is seeking a strategic RCM Lead for Decatur, IL to drive reliability initiatives and lead the maintenance organization. The role focuses on moving from reactive to proactive maintenance, implementing asset management strategies, and leading cross-functional teams to optimize plant assets and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities include deploying reliability strategies, budgeting alignment, and mentoring direct reports, with a strong emphasis on data-driven improvement and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related with 8+ years in R&M activities.
• Electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing maintenance and engineering environment.
• 5+ years' experience managing direct reports.
• Proficient in predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Cause and Effect or FMEA methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with food safety and process safety management.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the equipment reliability strategy and ensure it is integrated and part of Performance Excellence.
• Ensure the NDE capital and expense budgets are aligned with the strategic direction.
• Support development of asset management strategy that aligns with business needs and is integrated and part of Performance Excellence.
• Support plant maintenance team to optimize plant resources to improve efficiencies through reliability processes.
• Support the maintenance organization with clear roles and responsibilities and staffing based on replacement asset value.
• Define and drive reliability metrics and KPI's in support of operational goals while improving safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Utilize downtime and cost data to prioritize improvement opportunities around equipment reliability and organization efficiency.
• Provide technical support to the plant maintenance department.
• Identify continuous improvement projects and develop business cases in collaboration with plant maintenance team.
• Effective usage of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution processes using ADM's chosen CMMS.
• Responsible for the growth and development of all direct reports.
• Guide the development and completion of Losses to Action (L2A) projects to drive down unscheduled downtime.
• Drives the completion of updating the sites Location Maturity Assessment and action items associated with it.
• Main point of contact for all RCM initiatives deployed at assigned scope area.

The RCM Lead is a key leader in building and leading change in their assigned scope area of Decatur Corn Plant. They are considered a leader in the operations management team and are responsible for driving step change improvement of plant reliability while also championing the continued move from reactive to proactive maintenance. They will apply their knowledge and experience to ensure continuous improvement to optimize the company's physical assets and maintenance and reliability processes and strategies. Lead implementation, acceptance and adoption of enterprise asset management system.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the equipment reliability strategy and ensure it is integrated and part of Performance Excellence
• Ensure the NDE capital and expense budgets are aligned with the strategic direction
• Supports development of asset management strategy that aligns with business needs and is integrated and part of Performance Excellence
• Supports plant maintenance team to optimize plant resources to improve efficiencies through reliability processes.
• Supports the maintenance organization with clear roles and responsibilities and staffing based on replacement asset value
• Ensure a deep understanding of current standard methodologies (reliability elements) in the reliability and maintenance industry and deploy those agreed standards to assigned site/s scope
• Define and drive reliability metrics and KPI's in support of operational goals while improving safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Utilizes downtime and cost data to prioritize improvement opportunities around equipment reliability and organization efficiency
• Provide technical support to the plant maintenance department
• Identify continuous improvement projects and develop business cases in collaboration with plant maintenance team
• Effective usage of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution processes using ADM's chosen computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Responsible for the growth and development of all direct reports. Ensures that coaching and mentoring towards development goals is completed quarterly
• Guide the development and completion of Losses to Action (L2A) projects to drive down unscheduled downtime and meet annual L2A savings goals
• Drives the completion of updating the sites Location Maturity Assessment and action items associated with it
• Main point of contact for all RCM initiatives that are being deployed at assigned scope area (individual site or multi-sites)

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related with 8+ years of experience in R&M activities
• Electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing maintenance and engineering environment
• 5+ years' experience managing direct reports
• Proficient in predictive and preventive maintenance
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Cause and Effect or FMEA methodologies
• Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills (Including the ability to present information to a formal group)
• Familiarity with food safety and process safety management
• Tenacity in pursuing objectives to completion correctly and on time
• Strong team player with the ability to proactively change plant culture
• Experience in Vibration, Infrared, Alignment, Ultrasonic, Motor Circuit, and Lubrication analysis
• Background working on rotating equipment, seals, piping, pumps, fans, blowers, and material handling equipment
