Job summary

Simmons Pet Food in Emporia, KS is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to maintain, repair, and improve packaging and process machinery and site equipment in a safe, efficient manner. The role requires 5-7 years of progressive industrial maintenance electrical experience and a solid understanding of electrical codes.

You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor, mentor electrical staff, help allocate work, and participate in team initiatives to ensure safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Preferred 5–7 years of progressive industrial maintenance electrical experience.
• Knowledge of Electrical Code and safety requirements including NFPA 70E is required.
• Basic math, reading, writing, computer knowledge, and good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and improve packaging and process machinery and site equipment safely and efficiently.
• Eliminate breakdowns as a top priority.
• Report daily work summaries to Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and coordinate with the maintenance planner.
• Assist the Supervisor with distributing work within the electrical department and mentor electrical employees.
• Participate in team meetings and promote cohesion and best practices across the organization.
