Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Mainframe Storage Systems Programmer to join the Storage team in the United States. The role covers storage infrastructure administration, configuration, and installation, including DASD, tape, encryption, and replication for backup and DR capabilities.

Responsibilities include managing storage pools, performing problem diagnostics, creating backup jobs, supporting data center migrations, and participating in DR tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in related roles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience analyzing DASD and tape subsystem performance.
• Extensive IBM storage software knowledge including Copy Services Manager, Global Mirroring, SMS, HSM, IDCAMS, DFDSS.

Responsibilities

• Provide DASD and tape storage administration support for customers.
• Manage storage pools for multiple customers and LPARs.
• Perform problem diagnostics and resolution.
• Create and oversee backup jobs daily, weekly, monthly.
• Participate in Data Center migration projects using multiple methodologies.
• Perform data and volume recovery and migrations between storage frames.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery tests.
• Interact with account management and customers; coordinate with vendors.
• Mentor and train Storage team members.
