Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer – Storage for the United States. You will administer DASD, tape, and virtual tape environments, perform refreshes, migrations and daily support across customer environments.

Responsibilities include backups, DR testing and working with vendors. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with IBM storage software, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of related storage experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-resolution abilities and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Experience analyzing DASD and tape subsystem performance.
• Extensive experience with IBM storage software and tape hardware.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and GDPR awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide DASD and tape storage administration support for customers.
• Manage storage pools for multiple customers and LPARs.
• Diagnose problems and implement resolutions.
• Create and oversee daily, weekly, monthly backup jobs.
• Participate in Data Center migration and DR tests.
• Perform data migrations and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Mentor Storage team members and collaborate with account management.
