Job summary
JPS Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Mainframe Programmer Analyst to support system maintenance, enhancements, and production operations for the DHS Special Projects Team. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive IBM mainframe development experience and strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, with a proven track record in production
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- 10+ years of mainframe development experience with COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2/VSAM.
- 15+ years of experience with DB2 utilities (QMF, SPUFI) and IBM utilities (IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, SORT).
- 15+ years across software delivery activities and z/OS platforms and related tooling.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications.
- Analyze requirements and translate into technical specs and code.
- Collaborate with business, IT, and DBAs to deliver enhancements.
- Develop and execute unit and integration test plans and scripts.
- Support UAT and integration testing throughout SDLC.
- Provide on-call production support as required.
