Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mainframe Service Delivery Manager to lead IBM mainframe operations across the Austin and San Angelo data centers. You will own production control, batch scheduling, software management, and incident response to ensure reliable service delivery for government workloads.

You will coordinate disaster recovery planning and testing, manage capacity and currency, ensure CJIS/IRS 1075 compliance, and guide a technical team while collaborating with DIR customers in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in mainframe operations, with supervisory or lead experience.
• 8+ years of IBM mainframe operations experience in production government environments.
• Government mainframe operations experience required.
• Demonstrated IBM z/OS systems administration and system software management.
• Experience with production control and batch scheduling (CA7, TWS/OPC, or equivalent).
• Experience with mainframe networking (VTAM/NCP, TCP/IP on z/OS).
• Strong disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution experience.
• Strong understanding of mainframe production operations and service delivery.
• Experience supporting regulated government mainframe environments and multi-data center operations.
• Ability to manage mainframe operations across Austin and San Angelo locations.
• Strong technical leadership, operations management, incident resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for mainframe technology and service delivery across 14 mainframes.
• Lead IBM mainframe operations, production control, and batch scheduling management.
• Manage system software, technical support, and currency maintenance.
• Track and report MIPS/CPU consumption.
• Manage mainframe networking and software procurement activities.
• Plan, coordinate, test, and execute disaster recovery activities.
• Assist DIR customers with mainframe replatforming to modern platforms.
• Support migration and modernization activities involving mainframe and cloud/hybrid environments.
• Ensure CJIS and IRS Publication 1075 data security compliance for mainframe-hosted applications.
• Coordinate service delivery across Austin and San Angelo data centers.
• Maintain operational stability, availability, and performance across the mainframe environment.
