Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mainframe Service Delivery Manager to oversee 14 IBM mainframes (ADC and SDC) and provide operational leadership for DIR, ensuring reliable service delivery and performance across the enterprise.

The role requires strong government mainframe experience, IBM z/OS expertise, and hands-on leadership in production operations, batch scheduling, and disaster recovery, with a clear focus on security compliance and cross-data-center coordination.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
• 8+ years of IBM mainframe operations experience in production government environments.
• Government mainframe operations experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with IBM z/OS systems administration and system software management.
• Experience with production control and batch scheduling, including CA7, TWS/OPC, and equivalent platforms.
• Experience with mainframe networking, including VTAM/NCP and TCP/IP on z/OS.
• Disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Strong understanding of IBM mainframe production operations and enterprise service delivery.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead IBM mainframe operations, production control, and batch scheduling management.
• Oversee mainframe system software, technical support, and currency maintenance.
• Track and report MIPS/CPU consumption.
• Coordinate mainframe software procurement activities and DR planning.
• Plan, test, and execute mainframe disaster recovery activities; support modernization.
• Ensure data security compliance for mainframe-hosted applications.
