Job summary

VOLTO Consulting in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Mainframe .NET Developer to maintain, modernize, and integrate enterprise applications.

You will work with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM and .NET technologies, leading design, development, and production support in a DevOps environment.

Candidates should have at least seven years of experience and be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Mainframe and .NET development.
• Expertise with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM, IMS in enterprise environments.
• Experience in Mainframe modernization programs and knowledge of Micro Focus COBOL or IBM z/OS Connect.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and support Mainframe applications.
• Develop and maintain COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and IMS based solutions.
• Perform production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Create and optimize DB2 queries, stored procedures, and database performance.
• Design interfaces between Mainframe and .NET applications.
• Participate in modernization and migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure development standards.
• Prepare technical specs, design docs, and operational procedures.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements.
