Job summary

MSR Technology Group is seeking an experienced software engineer with 8+ years of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and related mainframe skills. The role involves leading offshore teams, migrating legacy systems to distributed architectures, and applying SDLC, Lean/Agile/XP, CI, and security practices to deliver scalable, high-performance applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, ChangeMan, File Aid/File Manager, DFSORT, Syncsort and Easytrieve.
• Develop high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end applications.
• Must have offshore team management experience.
• Experience in migration from legacy to distributed systems.
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices and Testing Techniques.

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
