Job summary

CTG is seeking a Senior DevOps Modernization Consultant to lead mainframe modernization and migration efforts, including Endevor to DBB, Git, and IDD transitions. The role requires strong Groovy scripting, YAML, and CI/CD expertise in IBM z/OS environments.

The position is remote with an ongoing contract, offering a base hourly rate between $75 and $100 and a comprehensive benefits package. Strong communication and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems programming, DevOps, or similar technical role.
• Experience installing, configuring, and migrating solutions within IBM z/OS environments.
• Experience with Endevor analysis, conversion, validation, and SCM modernization.
• 4+ years of customer-facing consulting or technical client support preferred.
• Experience delivering technical training and knowledge transfer.
• Hands-on experience with DBB, Git, IDD, mainframe modernization, SCM and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support mainframe modernization and SCM migration projects.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support DBB, Git, IDD, and related tools.
• Analyze, convert, validate, and troubleshoot Endevor applications and migrations.
• Develop and maintain Groovy scripts, YAML configurations, Git repos, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug failed builds and pipelines and resolve technical issues across the lifecycle.
• Conduct customer training, knowledge transfer sessions, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with technical teams and client stakeholders to deliver modernization projects.
• Document migration processes, resolutions, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.
