Job summary

Capital One is seeking an Integration Engineer 4 with mainframe expertise to maintain mixed batch and online environments, ensuring high availability and resiliency across parallel Sysplex complexes.

The role requires hands-on experience with COBOL/CICS/VSAM/JCL/DB2 on z/OS, disaster recovery (GDPS), encryption, and secure file transfers, plus documentation and agile collaboration using Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 4+ years designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations.
• 3+ years automating system configuration or data workflows.
• 3+ years with Sysplex complexes and mainframe tools.
• 3+ years in COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, DB2 or related tech.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support mixed batch and online mainframe infrastructure with high availability.
• Use mainframe monitoring suites (e.g., Omegamon) to track performance.
• Support disaster recovery technologies (GDPS) to ensure resiliency.
• Implement mainframe encryption for data at rest and in flight.
• Manage file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, NDM).
• Create comprehensive documentation for designs, processes, and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with payment systems regulations and security standards.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.
